DC Rajouri discusses R-Day arrangements

To discuss the arrangements for 67th Republic  day celebrations a meeting  was held under the chairmanship  of Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat  today at Dak bungalow, Rajouri. It was informed in the meeting that the day would start with playing of shehnai Vadan by the District Information Centre, followed  by hoisting of flag at Sports Stadium, Rajouri and March past by the contingents from Police, Army, NCC, Forest Protection Force and various educational institutes.  Thereafter, Cultural programme based on patriotic  theme will be presented  and function  will end with the prize distribution  ceremony. During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held on the arrangements for security, traffic, power  and water supply, seating, cleanliness of the venue, erectìon of Mobile urinal, public address system  besides illumination  of important govt buildings.

  DC directed all the officers to put in best efforts  to make all the arrangements  for the celebrations in a smooth way.Later on, DC reviewed the arrangements made by health department for national immunization  day  for Pulse Polio. It was informed in the meeting that the 1st round of immunization will be  held on 17th of Jan,2016 at 613 vaccination  booths throughout the district. DC impressed upon all the departments involved  to ensure successful  execution  of this drive  particularly  in remote and cut off areas with the involvement  of PRI's, Anganwadi workers  etc so that people  at large could be  benefitted. SSP, Rajouri, Rajeshwar Singh, ADC Mumtaz Choudhary, Executive  Engineer  of PHE,PDD,PWD,  CMO, Rajouri, Chamin Bhasin, officers from army, BSF , CRPF were among several  others who attended  the meeting.
