TPS Sidhu Deputy Commissioner S.A.S. Nagar launched the Potential Linked Credit Plan (PLP) 2016-17 for SAS Nagar district on 05 January 2016 in presence of Mr. Bupinder Singh ADC (Development), Mr. Sanjeet Kumar Sharma, DDM, NABARD, S.A.S Nagar, Mr R.K Saini, Chief Lead District Manager, PNB and other dignitaries present during the above launching of DISTRICT CREDIT PLAN prepared by NABARD. The total credit potential under the priority sector had been estimated 548432.60 lakh for the financial year 2016-17. It is based on the theme "Accelerating the Pace of Capital Formation in Agriculture and Allied Activities”. The objective is to sustain the contribution of agriculture and allied activities in the development of the state and to achieve the contribution of agriculture and allied activities in the development of the state and to achieve the targeted growth of 4% in agriculture and allied sector as envisaged in the 12th Five Year Plan, whereby accelerating the pace of capital formation in agriculture and allied activities has assumed paramount importance.
He potential of disbursement in agriculture has been assessed at Rs. 282737.77 lakh (that includes crop loan, agriculture infrastructure, agri-ancillary and agri term loan), MSME has been assessed at Rs. 139722 lakh. Export Credit Rs. 10125.00 lakh (new entry in priority sector as per revised guidelines,) education at Rs. 19000.00 lakh (again a new entry in priority sector ) Housing at Rs. 73012.50 lakh, Renewal energy at Rs. 1307.21 lakh and social infrastructure and others at Rs. 22528.13 lakh.
