DC reviews arrangements for Road Safety Week

Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Mohammad Harun Malik reviewed the preparations for 27th Road Safety Week, to be observed in the district from 10th to 16th of January 2016, in a meeting of concerned officers convened here today.

It was informed that several activities like awareness rallies and camps, symposia, painting competitions, medical camps will be held in different parts of the district during the week long programme. The theme will be 'Road Safety-Time for Action'.General public, transporters, drivers and conductors will be sensitized about the importance of adherence to road safety rules in letter and spirit to ensure safety of human life.Among others, ACR, Shafiq Ahmed Choudhary, DySP Hqtr, Mujeeb Ur Rehman, ARTO, Jahangir Khan, DEPO, Makhan Lal besides officers of Poonch Municipal Council, Traffic and representatives of private schools attended the meeting.
