Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura directed Jammu and Kashmir Agro Industries Corporation to ensure easy availability of Agriculture, Horticulture machinery and tools in different districts of Jammu division. He also asked to ensure quality and reasonable pricing of the said equipment.

The Minister stated this in a meeting of officers convened to discuss and review functioning of J&K Agro Industries Corporation, here today.The Minister also asked the concerned to constitute a committee to help purchase the processing equipment for Food Processing Plant at Khanmoh, for the purpose of which Rs. 1.12 crore already stand released.   

The Minister asked Director Agriculture, Jammu and Controller Fertilizer to make adequate allocation of fertilizer to J&K Agro-Industries Corporation. He said at least 30 percent of allocation should be made in favour of the Corporation.During the meeting, decisions taken in last board of directors meeting were also discussed in detail. Mr. Hanjura asked the concerned to come up with a comprehensive agenda on which detailed discussion can be held in the next Board of Directors meeting.Commissioner/Secretary, Agriculture Mr. M. A. Bukhari, Special Secretary, Agriculture, Director Horticulture Jammu, Director Agriculture Jammu, Director Planning Agriculture, Director Finance Agriculture, Director Finance JK Agro Industries Corporation and other officers of Agriculture, Horticulture and J&K Agro Industries Corporation were present in the meeting.
