Commr Secy reviews developmental schemes in Kashmir division

Commissioner Secretary, Rural Development Department, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, had an officers meeting to review the status of development works in Kashmir division here today.Director Rural Development Department (RDD), Tasaduq Jeelani, presented a detailed description of various works being done under different schemes like Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Indira Awas Yoyana (IAY) and Apna Panchayat Ghar (APG) during 2015-16.Under MG NREGA, the department has completed developmental works of Rs. 208.94 crore upto December 2015. Besides, Rs. 21.31 crore have been spent on 2844 house constructions in which  1368 houses belongs to Schedule Tribe (ST) and Schedule Caste (SC) category under IAY scheme. Besides, 319 panchayat ghars have been completed and 387 are under construction and Rs. 23.33 crore have been spent on renovation and repair of 856 Panchayat Ghars. 

Besides, Rs. 87.80 crore have been expended on other developmental works.Commissioner Secretary directed all concerned officials to complete the pending development works within the stipulated time frame and also coordinate with the rural people to provide them 100 job days in a financial year. He stressed to monitor management information system regularly so that funds will be released on time.Chief Executive Officer Integrated Water Management Project informed the achievements and new initiatives of their project.All Assistant Commissioner Developments, Executive Engineers, District Panchayat Officers, programme managers of IWMP and all concerned officers were present.
