Lal Singh inspects Laboratory, blood bank at SMGS hospital

Minister for Health and Medical Education, ARI and Trainings, Ch Lal Singh has asked SMGS hospital administration to upgrade operation theatres, laboratories, and blood bank with latest health infrastructure so that patients receive quality Medicare.This was stated by the Minister during his inspection of the hospital to review the facilities being extended at the blood bank and laboratories in SMGS hospital here.Principal Government Medical College, Dr. Zahid Gillani, Director Health Services Dr. Baljeet Singh Pathania, Director Family Welfare Dr. Baldev Raj Sharma, Mission Director NHM Dr. Mohan Singh, Deputy Director Health Services Dr. Ajay Gupta and Medical Superintendent SMGS hospital Dr. Dara Singh accompanied the Minister.

Ch Lal Singh said that Government is upgrading all laboratories and blood banks in Government hospitals with latest infrastructural facilities. He asked the hospital administration to prepare inventory of the functional and non-functional machines installed in all units. He also called for intensive sanitation of the hospital on daily basis.Later, the Minister also interacted with the volunteer blood donors in blood bank of the SMGS hospital and emphasized on the value of voluntary blood donation.
