Announces grants worth crores for development projects during sangatdarshan

The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister S. Sukhbir Singh Badal today announced that state government has chalked out a project of Rs. 300crore to tackle the problem of waterlogging and the plan had been sent to the central government for approval.Addressing a mammoth gathering here at village SaJrana on the last day of his ongoing sangatdarshan program the Deputy Chief Minister said with the efforts being made by the Punjab government, the area affected by waterlogging had been reduced to a mere 60,000 acre from 1,06,000 acre earlier. He said the project would be implemented soon to eradicate the waterlogging after its approval from the centre.Mr Badal said the PPCCpresident Captain Amarinder Singh has not got many tricks up his sleeve and is behaving like a frustrated man as he is devoid of any realistic and practical issues. Launching a scathing attack on the state congress chief, Mr. Badal said Captain Amarinder is playing politics of very low level over the name of revered martyr like-Shaheed Bhagat Singhon the international airport issue.The Deputy CM further said that he had observed during his two day sangatdarshan programs that the people of the state are extremely satisfied over the development works carried out by the SAD-BJP government.

Earlier, Mr. Badal conducted sangatdarshanat villages namely- JourkiAndhewali, ChakBanwala, ChakDabwala, KheowaliBodla, Chahlanwali, TahliwalaBodla and Sadrana and redressed the issues of the local people. He also announced grants worth crores for development projects e.g.--- Concretization of boundary walls,dharamshala’s, anganwadi centers, sports kits for youth, construction of marriage palaces and street lights. He also announced to construct a bus stop at village TahliwalaBodla and R.O. system for village Sadrana.On the occasionhealth ministerSurjit Kumar Jyani, DC Ravinder Singh, SSPIndermohan Singh Bhatti, Special Principal Secretary to Deputy CM Manvesh Singh Sidhu,halqainchargeSatinderjit Singh Manta and O.S.D. to Deputy CM Charanjit Singh Brar were also present.
