Abdul Haq conducts extensive tour of Tral

Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq Khan on Tuesday conducted extensive tour of Tral constituency and announced an additional grant of Rs 3 cr to Panchayats in the Constituency.Minister interacted with hundreds of people at Town Hall including Panchs and Sarpanchs. On Public demand, the Minister granted an additional amount of Rs 3 cr under MGNREGA in the Constituency.The Minister was accompanied by MLA Tral Mushtaq Ahmad Shah besides Director RDD Kashmir, Tasaduq Jeelani and DC Pulwama.Meanwhile, the Minister also laid foundation of the Common Facilitation Centres (CFC) at Aribal in Tral Constituency. Speaking on the occasion, Haq reaffirmed government commitment of creating durable assets which can last long saying that RDD is working hard in this regard. "The CFCs serve as multipurpose assets and prove beneficial to the people in catering to their larger needs," he added.

The Minister also interacted with the residents of Aripal, Khundur, Laroo Jagir, Lurgam, Kuchmullah and Tral town and received feedback from the people regarding the works in progress in their respective areas.People also apprised the Minister about their grievances and demands including regular power supply, upgradation of middle school & hospital, receiving station, better roads, water supply, timely ration supply and construction of bunds and other flood protection works.Responding to public demands, Abdul Haq directed the officials to start work on Sathora-Bangidara road besides construction of a protection bund. He further assured the residents that he would raise the issue of upgrading of middle school with the Education Minister.At Lurgam, the Minister inaugurated a Panchayat Ghar and announced Rs 6 lakh for the construction of Lurgam-Doodkulan road.The RDD Minister also interacted with people at Kuchmullah, where he asked the officials to construct a path and bund over a stream and announced Rs 4 Lakh for the purpose.
