CIC calls on Governor

G.R. Sufi, State Chief Information Commissioner (CIC), called on Governor N.N. Vohra, here at the Raj Bhavan today.Mr. Sufi apprised the Governor about the efforts being made by the Commission, ever since its establishment, for enabling the implementation of the ‘Right To Information (RTI) Act 2009’ in J&K State and to enhance awareness of the masses regarding their right to seek relevant information from all public offices under the RTI Act.The Governor discussed with Mr. Sufi the measures which could be taken to further enhance transparency in the functioning of the administrative apparatus in J&K.
