Surinder Choudhary chairs Privilege Committee meet

A meeting of Privilege Committee of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council was held here today under the Chairmanship of MLC, Surinder Choudhary to discuss the privilege notices received by the Council Secretariat from various members.The members of the Committee including Kaisar Jamsheed Lone, Surinder Ambardar, Showkat Hussain Ganai, Dr. Bashir Ahmed Shah (Veeri) and Firdous Ahmed Tak attended the meeting.The Committee discussed replies submitted by Tourism Department, AG Office, Additional SP, Nowshera, Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Chief Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control, Kashmir and SSP, Anti High Jacking, Srinagar Airport.After thorough discussions and satisfied reply by the concerned, the committee withdrew three Privilege notice. The Committee took serious note of the absence of Deputy Accountant General (Account/Audit), Kashmir. The Committee observed that the previous reply submitted by his office was not satisfactory. Secretary, Legislative Council, Abdul Majeed Bhat and other senior officers of concerned departments and Council Secretariat were also present in the meeting.
