Salvation Movement pays tributes to Shams-ul-Haq

Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement today organized a special prayers session at martyrs graveyard to observe 23rd martyrdom anniversary of renowned Islamic scholar and prominent Jammat-e-Islami and resistance leader Gh Mohammad Mir also known as Shams-ul-Haq.Chairman Salvation Movement Zaffer Akbar Bhat along with resistance leaders, human rights activist, Ulamas and lawyers participated in the prayers session (Fateh Khawani) and paid glowing tributes to martyr. Prominent among them include Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Javeed Ahmad Mir, Noor Mohammad Kalwal, Er. Farooq Ahmad Khan, Shabir Ah Dar, Mohamad Iqbal Mir, Imtyiaz Reshi, Ab Rouf Khan, Mohammad Ahsan Unto, Sajad Irfan Gul, Gh Mohammad Nagoo, Nisar Hussain Rather, Mohammad Rafiq Mir, Moulana Shamus Din, Advocate Baber Qadri, Moulana Mushtaq including his Son Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, Dr Mohammad Ashraf Mir,  Hilal Ahmad Mir, Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir and resident of Sanoor Kalipora and family members of martyrs.

 Zaffar Akber Bhat and other resistance Leaders also paid glowing tributes of martyrs of Kashmir who laid down their precious lives for freedom of Kashmir from Indian bondage. Tributes were also paid to Shaheed Abdul Rashid Chicken.Pro-freedom leaders and activists on the occasion raised Pro-Islam and Pro-freedom slogans. They addressed the gathering and reaffirmed to take the mission of martyrs to its logical conclusion.Zaffer Akbar Bhat addressing the gathering paid glowing tributes to the Islamic scholar and frontline pro-freedom Kashmiri leader Shams-ul-Haq on his martyrdom anniversary while acknowledging his role in Kashmir freedom struggle.He said that the martyr Shams-ul-Haq was a frontline leader in Kashmir struggle and renowned Islamic Scholar who laid down his life for securing birth right ‘right to self determination’ along with lakhs of martyrs and internationalized the Kashmir dispute due to which world community is concerned about the Kashmir conflict and its consequences. 

He said that world community is aware of the fact that if Kashmir conflict is not resolved according to aspirations and whishes of Kashmiri people, peace in whole South Asia can’t be guaranteed.Zaffer said that people of Kashmir have rendered sacrifices for resolution of Kashmir issue not for nominal elections or economic packages.He said that United Nation has guaranteed right to self determination by passing several auspicious resolutions.Zaffer pledged to take the ‘Kashmir freedom struggle’ to its logical conclusion and urged UN to implement its resolutions for peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute according to people’s aspirations and whishes.
