DDC Baramulla inaugurates AASRA and FSA registration

District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Yasha Mudgal today inaugurated AASRA and Food Safety Scheme registration at Baramulla.Various counters were opened for the registration at Block Development Officer’s office Baramulla. The District Development Commissioner inspected the Counters and took a comprehensive account of the facilities for the registration process. It was given out that AASRA is an insurance-based scheme which aims at providing security to low-income groups. Girl child born to parents whose annual income is less than Rs 75000 per annum will be eligible under the scheme.Meanwhile, the registration under Food Safety Act kick-started at all blocks in district Baramulla today. District Development Commissioner has already passed on instructions to the concerned authorities to complete the registration by 23rd December in the district.During the inaugural function, District Development Commissioner directed the concerned officials to ensure that the registration is conducted in effective and transparent manner so that deserving people are covered under the Scheme.Joint Director Planning, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Development and other officers were also present during the inaugural function.
