A day after a Sikh girl embraced Islam after marrying a Muslim youth from Srinagar city, the Sikh bodies Monday while condemning the incident said that the way issue was propagated on Social networking sites have offended the Sikh community all across India.Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee president Jogindar Singh Shan told CNS a delegation of Sikh community called on Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Geelani and expressed displeasure over the incident.“Such incidents can put Muslim-Sikh brotherhood in danger. Muslims and Sikhs have been living in amity in Kashmir. We appeal all not to encourage such trend in Kashmir,” he said adding that Geelani Sahab himself condemned the incident and assured them that he will look into the matter. (CNS)
