Sixth youth parliament organised in Shemrock Senior Secondary  School Sector- 69, Mohali .Around hundred students from classes 9th and 10th participated in it .It started with the oath ceremony of the members which was followed by obituary reference and  Prime Minister introduced the new ministers. In Question hour objectives of conducting youth parliament, Role of Navodaya Vidalayas, Separate time zone for North Eastern states, Cancellation of Mega Food Park in Amethi, Delays and Cancellation of AIR flights, Issue of Dengue, Safety of girls in nation and constituting GST council were discussed. A delegation from Denmark was also welcome during the presentation.Issues like Discrimination faced by people of schedule castes in Haryana, Removal of white coats by Doctors in hospitals, changing of designation of male nurses from sisters to nursing officers, Ban on traditional rituals in Madhya Pardesh and other parts of the country and rehabilitation of Sikhs after coming from Afghanistan, cancellation of 21 trains specially from Chandigarh for 2 months were raised during Zero hour.

Issues like supply of Drugs in Punjab and measures to check the menace suicide cases of farmers, Human Trafficking and influence of ISIS in India and intrusion from border areas were discussed under the heading "calling attention motion". Later, Breach of Privilege, papers to be laid were also shown and message from the upper chamber. It was concluded by passing of Motor Vehicle (Amendment) Bill.While speaking on this occasion Principal Air Commeder (Rtd.) S.K.Sharma said that    Parliament is one of the major pillars of our democratic system. The students as future leaders and citizens must be made aware of the working of the parliament to initiate, develop, cultivate and nurture the ideals of our democratic institutions.
