Oakridge International School celebrated for being acknowledged first IB World School in the Tricity and in Punjab to implement the International Baccalaurate Primary Years Programme. It is the only school in the tricity and in Punjab as well that offers the International level curriculum International as Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme which is offered by the IBO, a Geneva based organization. This international curriculum helps children to develop critical thinking, reasoning, logic, creativity and innovation. The pedagogy is backed by a world-class facility for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

This international level curriculum focuses and includes learning about self-awareness, social and environmental responsibility, compassion and sharing. The rigor and the global focus of International Baccalaureate course work will help all the children, even in kindergarten and first grade, get ready for a workplace and a world that we can’t even imagine yet, that’s a big head start in getting ready for a lifetime of change and learning. Later, Students of Oakridge School organised various cultural items to enthrall the audience with various International dance forms.

At the moment, the teachers were also felicitated for their contribution in implementing the programme. The Principal of the school Ramanjit Ghuman informed the audience about the relevance of the IB programme and the ways in which the international curriculum helps children as they make career choices be it in India or overseas.
