DDC Kishtwar convenes meet on NFSA implementation

District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Mr G. N Balwan today convened a high level meeting of all District officers, Tehsildars , BDOs, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Tehsil Supply Officers and other officers to chalk out the plan for the  implementation of National Food Security Act 2013 in the District before the scheduled date.During the meeting Tehsildars, BDOs, Tehsil Social welfare officers and Tehsil supply officers who are all members of Tehsil level committee constituted for the implementation of the said Act were directed to collect basic data for the identification of priority AAY, priority, Non Priority and exclusion categories as per the criteria set in the Act within the notified timeline.

Meanwhile, the DDC speaking on the occasion sought the cooperation of all the Departments in completion of this exercise of identification of the beneficiaries in fair and transparent manner with no scope of exclusion of deserving from the list. Pertinent to mention here that National Food Security Act, aims at providing subsidized food grains to the people of various BPL categories. It also  includes mid day meal scheme, ICDS and Public Distribution System under its ambit.Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Kishori Lal, Chief Planning Officer Kishtwar, Dr. Yasir Balwan, Assistant Commissioner Development Kishtwar, Akhtar Qazi, Assistant Director CA&PD Kishtwar, Tehsildars, BDOs were among others who attended the meeting.
