A meeting of Committee on Public Undertakings (PUC) of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held here today under the Chairmanship of MLA, Mohammed Akbar Lone.Legislators, Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, Asgar Ali Karbalie, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, Naresh Kumar Gupta and Surinder Mohan Ambardar were present in the meeting.Audit Para contained in the CAGs Audit Report pertaining to the Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation was discussed in the meeting.The Committee asked officers of the Corporation to come up with detailed information on status of transport services being provided by the Corporation in the State. It also asked for details with regard to number of vehicles, their condition, number of workshops and supervisory staff.Secretary, Transport, Mr. Kifayat H. Rizvi briefed the Committee about physical and financial activities of the Corporation.Among others, Managing Director, SRTC, Mr. G. A. Sofi besides other senior officers of Corporation and Assembly Secretariat were also present in the meeting.
