Kashmiris won’t accept Indo-Pak dialogue sans their involvement: Yasin Malik

‘We are prime stakeholders to dispute’

Terming the bilateral talks between India and Pakistan as “mere eyewash”, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik Thursday said that “it is ironic that our political fate will be discussed by the two countries, despite we being prime stakeholders.”While talking to media here, Malik said: “People of Kashmir reject such kind of dialogue process which is nothing but mere eyewash. The two neighboring countries will have to introspect on their respective stands on Kashmir.”The JKLF chief was on a 30-hour long hunger strike at Maisuma against the human rights violations in Kashmir.Malik said that the dialogue in the absence of Kashmiris has brought anger among them and they are not going to accept such kind of dialogues in future without their involvement.

He said that they are not against the dialogue process between India and Pakistan. “Being prime stakeholders of the disputed state, we were not involved in the dialogue process,” Malik said.Calling their absence from the dialogue as unfortunate, Malik said, “Despite the fact that our presence in the dialogue was mandatory, we came to know about it from new channels and newspapers.”He further said that the people of Kashmir won’t accept such solution.

 Meanwhile, Malik criticized Former Chief Minister and National Conference (NC) patron, Farooq Abdullah for advocating a status quo on Kashmir and ruling People’s Democratic Party leader Mehbooba Mufti for "preferring Delhi's interest in Kashmir".Malik was sitting on a 30-hour hunger strike against human rights violations in the state on the International Human Rights Day (December 10).Malik has said that such kind of hunger strikes will leave a message to the International community to come to know about the facts that what actually the people of Kashmir are suffering from.People from all walks visited Malik and its activists were sitting on a hunger protest from Wednesday.
