BSF holds medical camp in in Kupwara

In order to reach out and help the poor students and villagers belonging to under privilege section of the society of J&K, 56Battalion of Border Security Force, Handwara, organized Civic Action Programme at Govt. High School Kundia under PS-Karalpora  on 27thNov’2015 and at Govt. Middle School Pharkian under PS-Kralpora, Distt-Kupwara  on  28th Nov’2015, in which distribution of  school stationeries and free medical camp were organized.According to a statement issued to KNS, the Civic Action Programme was inaugurated by Sh. Rakesh Kumar, Commandant of 56 Battalion BSF, in which large number of civil society members and students of the area participated. 

School stationeries, warm clothing etc were distributed to appx 350poor students of both the schools. Apprx200 villagers got the benefit of medical camp headed by Dr. Mohd Salim Bilal and Dr. Sajjad Hussain along with his medical team.According to the villagers of Kunida &Pharkia, this was the first time that civic action on such a large scale was organized by security Forces. While addressing to the villagers, Commandant Sh. Rakesh Kumar assured that BSF will organize more such programmes  in near future to offer a helping hand to the under privilege section of the society. (KNS)
