Tarun Chugh, R.P.Singh meet Rajnath Singh, HM assures to maintain peace in Punjab

BJP National Secretaries R.P. Singh and Tarun Chugh Saturday met Home Minister Rajnath Singh and briefed him about the present scenario in Punjab.The BJP Secretaries told him that some mischievous  elements were active in the state who have created an atmosphere of tension and were trying to disturb the hard earned peace in Punjab. Acts of sacrilege were being committed to hurt the sentiments of people and create disharmony among the communities.They also told the Home Minister that some political parties were also trying to exploit the situation to drive political benefit out of the same.The Home Minister assured the BJP national secretaries that nobody would be allowed to disturb the peace in the state and those trying to do so will be dealt with an iron hand. He said that the government would not let anybody disturb the cordial atmosphere and the communal harmony in the state of Punjab.Rajnath Singh told R.P.Singh and Tarun Chugh that the Centre was keeping watch over the happenings in the state and every step was being taken to protect the social fabric in the state.
