With an objective of developing handicrafts and enhancing self employment among the artisans, Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Welfare Institute and Research Centre Baramulla organised a workshop related to capacity building at Baramulla. The workshop was organised in collaboration with Research Centre Baramulla in collaboration with NABARD.Chief General Manager J&K NABARD, S A Pande was the chief guest on this occasion. The programme which was attended by artisans hailing from all parts of the district aimed at increasing coordination between the banks and the artisans. It was stressed that the formalities for obtaining loan facilities should be simplified so that the artisans should be benefitted.During the programme, the young artists were encouraged to create self help groups for their own benefit and for the upliftment of the society. DGM NABARD Dinesh Kapla, President J&K People Welfare Institute and Research Centre Fayaz Ahmad and the officers of various banks were present during the programme.
