Abdul Ghani Kohli kick starts black topping on Solki-kharka link road

Minister for Transport, Abdul Ghani Kohli today underlined the need of expanding road network in inaccessible parts for achieving  holistic development  of the state.The Minister said this while addressing a gathering after kick starting   the black topping work on  2km  link road from Solki to kharka in  Kalakote constituency. “The coalition government has prioritized development of better road connectivity  as one of the key sectors for overall development of the state”, the Minister maintained.Later, the Minister  attended the concluding  function  of 3-day Public  Information  Campaign  at Sunderbani organised by Press Information  Bureau  in coordination  with Directorate  of Audio Visual Publicity  , Song and Drama Division, Directorate of Field Publicity , All India Radio and District Administration, Rajouri.

Appreciating the campaign, Kohli impressed upon the organizers and participating departments to take the awareness message of development to every nook and corner of the region so that the common masses could reap maximum benefit out of the Government sponsored schemes.The Minister appreciated the departmental stalls and said that this will help the people get knowledge about the schemes of the government for their socio-economic emancipation. He highlighted the benefit of Financial Inclusion schemes besides throwing light on various skill development schemes.Highlighting the importance of holding such campaigns, the Minister said that exchange of information and people to people contact are key towards development. He said that massive awareness needs to be created  about different  schemes being launched  in rural development, Industries , labour, agriculture  and employment sectors.

While addressing the students on the occasion, the Minister called upon them to imbibe information about their rich cultural and traditional heritage. He said the onus of taking the nation to new highs lies on the shoulders of youth and they have to play their with utmost care, concern and concentration.Later, the Minister gave mementos to various departments which took part in this awareness campaign.Later, theme based cultural programme presented by the song and drama division artists.The Minister was accompanied by ADDC, Rajouri,  Avtar Singh Chib , ADC Mumtaz Choudhary, SDM, Kartar Singh, Media and Communication  officer PIB Sunil Koul besides other senior  officers of district  administration.
