Mechanical Engineering students of CGC Jhanjeri  designed a zero emission ultra-light human assisted hybrid vehicle. Abhay Tiwari, Ishan Jaswal, Sulipt Kumar Das, Anshu Singh, Gorav Kumar, Amanjot Singh, Chanpreet Singh developed  this robust light weight chassis made of steel combines cost effectiveness, easy workability, strength and provides impact safety to drivers. Further, reduction in weight of the vehicle was achieved by using light weight seats, tyres and advanced compound transmission system. The mechanical advantage of the vehicle is enhanced by using high gear ratios which reduces the human effort and increases its maximum speed. It will be a useful mode of transport for the differently able people since most of the time it can be run on motor. The vehicle has been designed in such a way that each and every component can be recycled and reused. Thus the cycle is treated as complete green cycle.

The Effi-Cycle is economical too and its components are easily available in the market. The concept used in the innovation was the use of lithium ion battery to optimize the overall weight of the vehicle, increase its battery power range and make it compact. Battery once fully charged can power the 0.37KW motor for a duration of 5 hours which is almost twice that of a conventional battery. Motor-driven Effi-Cycle fetches a speed of 30-35 kmph and assists in the reduction of fatigue factor of human body. Effective braking system with disk brakes satisfies the safety criteria and shock absorbing facility strengthens the mechanical construction of the vehicle. While encouraging the students President Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal motivate students to have practical knowledge along the theoretical to become successful and competent in future.
