A day long grand Majlis-e-Hussaini (AS) was held at Zadibal, Srinagar today in connection with Chahlum (40th day of martyrdom of martyrs of Karbala). Thousands of devotees from Srinagar and adjacent areas attended the Majlis.The Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education and Youth Services & Sports, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari who is also president of J&K Shia Association, presided over the Majlis and threw light on the life and teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and the incident of Karbala The Majlis started with recitation of holy Quran, followed by marsiya by renowned Zakirs.Later procession of zuljinah was taken out from Baba Mazar, which went through various streets and culminated at Imam Bara Zadibal.The Majlis was organised by Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association.
