Qayoom Wani calls on Drabu ,Discusses issues of employees

The EJAC President & JCC Leader Ab. Qayoom Wani called on state Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu in his office chamber at Jammu, the meeting lasted for 1 ½ hour.The meeting discussed the issues of State Public Sector, Dailywagers, casual labours & other employees. The EJAC President put all the issues of Employees before the Minister and strongly pleaded for their resolution. The Minister was assured that the employees and public sector Employees face heavy financial crisis and people are helpless. The state employees are at fore front to run the govt. machinery. Near about 60,000 daily wagers, casual labors & temporary employees are waiting for their regularization. Due to unclear policy of Government with regard to their regularization their families are starving & they do not get wages in time.Their future is darkened and till now hundreds of daily wagers have lost their lives and fell prey to cruelty which is gross violation of human rights. 

The pay anomaly of different departments especially of pre revised grade  Rs. 6500-10500 and clerical cadre has not been  moved Ab. Qayoom Wani requested Finance Minister to release D.A 6% in favor of State employees and Public sector and the pay of employees working under various schemes (SSA, RMSA, SBM, HPMC) be released at the earliest. The life of such employees has become unbearable. Provision of 7th pay commission be kept in favor of state employees, public sector employees & pensioners.The EJAC President Ab. Qayoom Wani strongly appealed the Finance Ministered to implement 7th pay commission from January, 2016 in favor of State employees. The delay in its implementation shall cause void between the govt. & employees and the confrontation between the two makes the people face the brunt. For the improvement of work culture govt. should resolve. The issues of state and public sector employees which will directly benefit the people of the state.The political interference is the great obstacle in the work culture EJAC won’t allow anybody to play with the honour of employees.

The EJAC President appealed the Finance Minister to use his good office for the restoration of credibility in this sensitive issue. The Finance Minister should see to the issue of thousands of employees working as Incharge in different departments and EJAC President expressed his deep concern on it in the education department, Lecturers, Headmasters, ZEPOs, ZEOs & principal have not been confirmed yet. The Finance Minister assured that these issues will be resolved on priority and pending salaries of these employees will be released. The EJAC President thanked the finance Minister for releasing G.P. Fund Ab. Qayoom Wani was assured on behalf of EJAC that EJAC would support the govt.  in all the steps to be taken for the improvement of work culture.(KNS)
