Div Com discusses Solid Waste Management Plan for Jammu, Katra

Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr. Pawan Kotwal convened a meeting to discuss the action plan for Solid Waste Management in Katra and Jammu.The meeting was attended by CEO SMVDSB Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Commissioner JMC Mandeep Kour, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh, Deputy Commissioner Reasi Sushma Chauhan, Director Urban Local Bodies Soujanya Sharma,  , Director Animal Husbandry S. L. Bhagat, SSP Jammu Uttam Chand and other senior officers of concerned departments.While discussing the action plan for solid waste management in Jammu, Katra and alongside the track upto Bhawan, Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure  effective action plan is put in place for collection, transportation and disposal of municipal solid waste.Divisional Commissioner stressed upon the concerned to ensure proper healthcare of the ponies engaged enroute Shri Mata Vaishno Devi ji and also directed early identification of atleast three sites for establishment of proper accommodation facilities for the ponies.Discussions were also held on various vital issues including environmental conservation in Katra and to take measures to preserve the ecology of the region.
