Dukhtaran-e-Millat chairperson Aasiya Andrabi Monday ‘warned’ parents for sending their teen age daughters on ‘Bharat Darshan’ tours organised by Indian Army. “It is shameful and deplorable on part of those parents who have consented and enrolled class 11th and 12th daughters for the Army tour. I am not appealing to these parents but warning them to desist from such activities,” Andrabi told CNS.She said that a number of parents informed her on phone that authorities from Girls Higher Secondary Schools all across Kashmir have been asking Class 11th and 12th female students to enrol themselves for the Army tour starting from December 4 (Friday). “The ugly part of the tour will be that no member for any school will be part of the group but it will be only Army that will accompany these girl students.

The parents even informed me that the Army has conveyed to the school authorities that these girl students will not only visit historical places of India but will also interact political leaders of India as well. This is un-Islamic and a Muslim society like Kashmir never approves such shady tours,” she said.“It is the policy of Indian Army to martyr youth in Kashmir and degrade society by organizing such tours for girls. I am not appealing these parents who have enrolled their daughters for such tours but warning them. Is this what our Islam teaches us to handover our teen age daughters to strangers? She questioned.Andrabi appealed to clerics and religious preachers to raise their voice against the new tactics of Army and also make people aware about the consequences of such ‘fishy’ tours. She revealed that some so-called reputed and known schools of Kashmir Valley have already enrolled girl students for the purspose and have handed over the names of these students to the Tour Organizers.
