While terming the statement of National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah that “Pak part of Pakistan and Kashmir to stay with India” as meaningless and unrealistic, Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani said that no person has got the mandate to suggest anything about the future of 15 million human beings of Jammu & Kashmir which will be against their wishes and aspirations and which they had rejected a long before. He said that if it would have been the solution of the Kashmir dispute then neither the plebiscite movement would have existed for 22 years here nor would have our loved ones abandoned the colleges and universities to pick up the gun instead of pen and books and nor would have lakhs of people sacrificed their lives for the cause. In a statement to KNS, Syed Ali Geelani said that Farooq Abdullah is still having non-serious attitude even after reaching a matured level of his life. Whatever comes to his mind, he without thinking its relevance and relation with the reality speak it up.

Syed Ali Geelani said that Farooq Abdullah at this age should have shown some courage and maturity and he should have apologized to the nation for the historical mistake which his party (NC) did when they buried the plebiscite movement of Kashmir in 75 for the chair. But contrary to that he is suggesting that forced divide of Kashmir which the people of Jammu & Kashmir had out rightly rejected in the past and nor will they be prepared to accept it in future also.Syed Ali Geelani said that in the changing global scenario, the wishes and the choice of the people is respected everywhere and if the Scotland like region can held referendum to respect the wishes and aspirations of its people in this twenty-first century then how can Farooq Abdullah or any other person thrust his suggestion on the people of Kashmir and who have given him the mandate to unilaterally decide the future of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.

Hurriyat (G) chairman said that the suggestion of Farooq Abdullah with regarding to the future of Kashmir is also unjustified because his position is not of any neutral person but he accepts and endorses the forced military occupation of India in Kashmir and his position is just of a loyal employee and an agent of India.Syed Ali Geelani said that the Kashmiri nation will never accept any solution to this dispute which would be against their sacrifices, wishes and aspirations and which will be thrusted upon them.
