The Punjab government has taken great initiative to develop dairy farming and get national and international recognition in this field by introducing novel ideas.Disclosing this here today Gulzar Singh Ranike Dairy Development Minister Punjab said that to encourage farmers to adopt dairy farming as a lucrative business, Punjab Dairy Development Board has also offered 50 percent of subsidy on equipments of dairy farming. Offering 50 percent subsidy to promote dairy farming, he said that maximum subsidy of Rs. 20,000 on milking machine ( Double bucket ), subsidy of Rs. 72,500 on  harvester ( tractor operated), Subsidy of Rs. 1,00,000 on forage cutter ( self propelled), subsidy of Rs.30,000 on Indian breed of cattle, Subsidy of Rs.4,00,000 on T.M.R. wagon is being provided to the beneficiaries.

He said that this exclusive offer of subsidy has been introduced to persuade farmers towards the business of dairy farming and it would also be contributing to the state’s exchequer. The government was also preparing a blue print to further reinforce the dairy farming so that the dairy products could be marketed at the international level.He said that dairy farming would get a boost by producing quality milk though magnificent strategies . He said that the state government has offered large number of incentives to the dairy farmers. He further said that in a major move to create job opportunities and to strengthen the state’s economy, dairy farming would strengthen the white revolution in the State.
