Distributes Bicycles To Girl Students Of Government School At Village Kadiana Kalan Today

Punjab Irrigation Minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon today said that the Shiromani Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janta Party led Punjab government is committed for overall development of the state. He said that some people with vested interests are unsuccessfully trying to disturb hard earned peace and communal harmony of the state in a bid to distract people development issues.He said this while speaking to media persons after distributing bicycles under Mai Bhago Vidya Scheme to girl students at Government Senior Secondary School at village Kadiana Kalan of the district today.While speaking on the occasion, Mr Sharanjit Singh Dhillon urged the residents to remain vigilant from such people and make sure peace and communal harmony of our state remains intact. He said main agenda of CM Mr Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal is overall development of the state and that is why several welfare schemes have been started for people.

He said the Punjab government has offered 1.14 lakh new jobs, which would be provided to the youth in a fair and transparent manner. He said that the old age pension has also been doubled from Rs 250 to Rs 500, besides a slew of other development and welfare schemes. He said that within one year, 100 percent households of the state would have potable water supply and toilet facility.He informed that in next few days, he would be holding Sangat Darshan programmes in all villages of his constituency and funds would be provided for carrying out development works.While addressing the students, the minister urged them to work hard if they want to achieve something in life. He said that one should always work hard with firm determination and set a clear goal. He said that time management is the most important tool for ones development. He urged them to participate in sports and other extra curricular activities along with studies. He said that the world is changing with every passing moment and that is why the students should read newspapers and magazines thoroughly. He urged them to get well versed with computers as well if they want to compete in today's world.School Principal Mr Pardeep Kumar was also present on the occasion.
