Madrassah student raped in Bangladesh

A student of a madrassah was raped at Daulatdihi village under Jessore sadar upazila. The police arrested Saddam Hossain of the same village after filing a case with Kotwali police station in this regard, Shikder Akkas Ali, officer in-charge, Kotwali police station confirmed.The victim was rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital and her medical test was made there, a hospital sources said.According to the case statement the 18-year alim student was raped by Saddam Hossain, 33 of Daulatdihi village under Jessore sadar upazila at a vegetable field on 13 November afternoon. The girl was returning home from her private tutor at that time.‘The rapist fled away as the girl screamed out during sexual assaults’, the case statement added.Shikder Akkas Ali, officer in-charge, Kotwali polices station told that the police arrested Saddam Hossain after filing a case by the victim’s mother in this connection on Wednesday night.
