Speaker declares 4th JK Golf Association Tournament open

Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir, Legislative Assembly,Mubarak Gul today declared 4th JK Golf Association Tournament open at Jammu Tawi Golf Course Sidhra.The tournament has been organized by the JK Golf Association in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department in which 44 golf players are participating.Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker said that the golf has tremendous potential in the State and underlined need for promoting this game globally. He said holding of golf tournaments will go a long way in promoting tourism sector also in the State.Mr. Gul said that the Government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is giving unusual attention for promotion of the sports activities in the State.Appreciating the role of organizers, the Speaker said that the holding of such events will boost sports in the State. Director Tourism, Jammu, Mr. Soujanya Sharma, President, JK Golf Association Raja Aijaz Ali, Vice President, S.S. Wazir and other sports persons were present on the occasion.
