Taj rebuts charges, says Rs. 10 cr libel suit against Early Times pending adjudication

Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services & Sports, Taj Mohi ud Din today has rebutted the charges made against him by a local daily from Jammu-Early Times in its yesterday’s edition.The Minister in a statement issued today said the contents of the report are not only defamatory in nature to malign his image in public but amounts to contempt of court as well. He said the court vide order dated: 21-01-2013 and 23-02-2013 has already refrained the newspaper from publishing any slanderous account against him and there is a Rs. 10 crore defamation case filed by him against the said newspaper for publishing defamatory contents against him. The case is pending adjudication, he said.Regarding the allegations of a scam in CCDU of PHE Department, Mr. Taj said the activities of the unit are largely of awareness and communication which does not involve raising any infrastructure development.The allegations leveled against me are frivolous, baseless and imaginary and fit to attract further charges of libel, the Minister said in the statement.
