Providing quality education main priority of the Government: CM

Chief Minister  Virbhadra Singh said that providing quality education to the students at their door steps was the priority of the Government   and primary schools would be opened also even for fewer students and according to the requirement in far flung areas.  He said that Middle, High and Senior Secondary Schools would be opened according to number of students, requirement and norms and this condition could be relaxed in hard areas. He was addressing public meeting at Karyali of Sunni in Shimla district today. Earlier, Chief Minister dedicated the building of Government Senior Secondary, Karyali constructed at a cost of Rs. 87.54 lakh. Chief Minister said that Special Category Status to the State was given during the Congress regime by the Centre Government. He said that State had received liberal financial assistance after getting Special Category Status which resulted in speedy development of the State adding that now Himachal was considered as model of development in the country. 

Virbhadra Singh said that Himachal Pradesh has achieved new milestones of development. The achievements of the State in education sector were appreciable and special efforts have been made in enrolling and providing quality education to the students at their door steps. He said that most of the schools in the State have been opened during his tenure. He said that development has no boundaries and his Government was ensuring the overall development of the State without any discrimination. Chief Minister announced for conducting survey of Karyali-Matyog road, starting Science and Commerce classes from next academic session at Government Senior Secondary School, Karyali and fencing and beautification of the school campus. He also announced to open primary schools at Gravon in Gram Panchayat Karyali, Palger and Matyog  in Gram Panchayat Dharogara  besides upgrading Primary School to Middle School at Tharu in Gram Panchayat Jalog, appointing dental doctor at Primary Health Centre, Jalog and opening veterinary dispensary at Karyali. 

Shri Virbhadra Singh said that Karyali was a large panchayat and it would be bifurcated according to demand of people of the panchayat before the next panchayat elections. He announced to give Rs. three lakh for constructing an inn  at Bhimakali temple at Karyali.Students of Government Senior Secondary School, Karyali presented a colourful programme on the occasion. Chief Minister announced to give Rs. 15,000 for promoting cultural activities in the school. Shri Kehar Singh Khachi, President, Shimla District Congress Committee and Shri Chander Shekhar Sharma, District Rural Congress Committee President also spoke on the occasion.Shri Suresh Himral, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Karyali welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked him for dedicating three ambitious projects.Shri Laxmi Dass Kaundal, Senior Congress leader proposed vote of thanks.
