DC receives Rs. 5 Lakh cheque for Red Cross Society

Additional District Commissioner, Jammu, Piyush  Singla  Wednesday handed over a cheque of Rs 5 lakh to Chairman District Red Cross and District Development Commissioner, Jammu, Simrandeep Singh as a contribution to Red Cross funds, which have been realized on account of permission for installing cracker stalls during Diwali festival.The contribution has come from vendors of Jammu city, Marh, RS Pura, Nagrota, Akhnoor, Dansal, Bhalwal and Bishnah. On the occasion, DC appreciated efforts of ADC and all SDMs who motivated people to proactively donate towards the noble cause.Secretary Red Cross, Suresh Sharma was also present on the occasion.
