Deputy Chief Minister for special dispensation to J&K under AYUSH

Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh today asked for a special dispensation to Jammu & Kashmir State under the AYUSH scheme.The Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with the Union Minister of State for Health, Mr. Shripad Naik at Delhi today.Dr Singh said that special dispensation under AYUSH would go a long way in upgrading the existing health infrastructure and enable the state to undertake several new projects covering various streams of Indian System of Medicines(ISM).Dy Chief Minister said that J&K State being a border and hilly state deserves special and focused attention in the health sector and urged Union Government to support the State Government’s endeavor in this regard.The Union Minister of State assured the Deputy Chief Minister that Union Government would provide all possible support to the state in improving the healthcare infrastructure and requisite instructions would be passed to the concerned in this regard.
