Sunil holds public grievances redressal camp at Dool

Minister of State for Public Works Department and Revenue, Mr Sunil Kumar Sharma today held a public grievances redressal camp at Dool in District Kishtwar.Responding to the demands of the people Mr Sharma asked PWD department to immediately start blacktopping work on the road from Kishtwar to Dool besides start repair work on the local roads immediately.People of area also requested Mr Sharam to take necessary steps for the development of potential tourism areas in the region.The Minister also urged Agriculture and Horticulture department to conduct joint awareness camp in the area so that the local farmers are acquainted with the best farming practices which in turn will play a major role in increasing their economic conditions. He also informed the process of rationalization of the areas with dual administrative control is already under way.

People also demanded augmentation of accommodation facility for the students in Government schools, release of compensation against land acquired for various road projects, development of horticulture on modern lines, repair of electric supply lines in the area, macadamization of local roads, supply of sufficient water and uninterrupted power supply to the area.The PHE department was asked to strengthen the exiting water supply schemes and submit new viable proposals besides R&B department was asked to take up work on roads and other important projects. Mr Sharma also asked the District Social Welfare Officer, Kishtwar to release the pending old age and widow pension to the beneficiaries in time.
