Abdul Majeed Padder announces Rs 10 lakh for roads in Noorabad

Distributes Rs 8 lakh cheques among 52 IAY beneficiaries ,‘Ensure availability of basic amenities during winter’

Stating that the present Government’ endeavor is inclusive development of all the regions of State, the Minister of State for PHE, Forest, Animal Husbandry and Irrigation & Flood Control, Abdul Majeed Padder Saturday said improving living standards of downtrodden sections of the society is among top priorities of the government.The Minister said this while addressing a public gathering at Khori Batpora (KB Pora) in Manzgam block of Noorabad constituency.On the occasion, the Minister distributed cheques amounting to Rs 8 lakh among 52 IAY beneficiaries of the area.Mr. Padder said promises made by the Government will be fulfilled soon and comprehensive and concrete measures are being taken in this regard so that people of the State are benefitted besides, ensuring transparency and accountability in governance. He said the government has prioritized implementation of the state and centrally sponsored welfare and developmental schemes.

While responding to the demands of people of the area, Mr. Padder announced Rs 5 lakh each out of his CDF for upgradation of KB Pora to Kralpora and KB Pora to Ganai Mohalla link roads. He also announced a 63 KV Power transformer for Bongam Khori Batpora.Later, The Minister chaired a meeting with SDM, Tehsildar, BDO and other engineers and officers at Brangward and urged them to ensure better facilities to people, especially in neglected and remote areas in wake of ensuing winter season. He asked engineers and related personnel to ensure speedy completion of development projects so that benefits accrue to the people on ground without long wait and people do not face any difficulty for want of basic amenities.
