The Shiromani Akali Dal hit back at the PPCC Chief Partap Singh Bajwa for challenging to prove involvement of Congress party in  so called ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ and said that presence of Congress leaders on the stage and in the gathering is ample proof of Congress party’s active involvement in this whole exercise.Reacting to the statement of the state Congress Chief, the SAD Secretary and Spokesman and Punjab Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that it was surprising to see the statement of the Congress leader as today’s media particularly print media has carried big stories on justification of presence of Congress MLA Ramanjit Singh Sikki in the  said function. He said that it appears that either the state Congress Chief is ignorant of the activities of his partymen or he is non reader of newspapers.  He said that apart from Mr Sikki, the Congress party’s Kisan Cell Chief Inderjit Singh Zira and workers of the Congress party were also part of the congregation. He questioned Mr. Bajwa if he was unaware of presence of these leaders ?

Dr. Cheema further said that it was also surprising that the official Spokesman of the Congress party Sukhpal Singh Khaira is issuing statement on daily basis in support of this activity and he has also questioned arrest of the leaders involved in that ‘Sarbat Khalsa.’ He said that what else proof does the Congress Chief requires ?Commenting on the foreign links of the ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ the SAD leader  said that this so called ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ was telecast live on some web channels which were hired by the people residing abroad and whatever is going on in social media is not hidden to anybody It seems that Mr. Bajwa has deliberately closed his eyes to all such glaring developments. 

Coming down heavily on the Congress President, Dr. Cheema said that it seems that the battle between him and Capt. Amarinder Singh on upmanship has disturbed him too badly to see what is going on in his party and the state. He said that instead of asking of resignation of SAD leader Mr. Bajwa should gracefully quit the Presidentship  accepting his own failures.Punjab Education Minister reiterated that the SAD-BJP government is committed to maintain  peace, tranquility and harmony in the state at every cost and will defeat  all the nefarious designs of Congress party and other such elements who are hell bent on disturbing the hard earned peace in Punjab.
