The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today said Punjab Congress president Partap Singh Bajwa seemed to be either living in a fool's paradise or was deliberately playing into the hands of anti national forces by blatantly denying the Congress hand in organising and supporting the so called Sarbat Khalsa on November 10. In a statement here, SAD general secretary Maheshinder Singh Grewal said instead of asking SAD president Sukhbir Badal to prove the Congress' involvement he should simply take a few minutes off and see the "proof" in the social media. "The social media is flooded with conversations between Congress leaders including Harminder Gill and Lally Majithia. Both leaders, besides advising the extremists on what resolutions to adopt in their meeting, also assured them that they would send their supporters in full strength". He said a Congress leader had also admitted that the voices in the tapes were of Congress leaders only.Asking Partap Bajwa not to let his frustration get the better of him and for once think about the welfare of Punjab and Punjabis, Mr Grewal challenged Bajwa to deny the authenticity of the recordings. "If you cannot do that then recommend disciplinary action against these leaders or else Punjabis will understand that you are hand in glove with them", he added.

The SAD leader also reminded Bajwa that he was a symbol of all that was wrong in the Punjab Pradesh Congress. "It is a tragedy for the party that a person like you whose family history is known in the entire Majha region and has also been recorded in an official letter by former chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh, has succeeded in taking over the Punjab Congress. It is leaders like you who have through repeated scams like the bitumen scandal and usurping village panchayat lands done the most damage to the public good". Mr Grewal said if Bajwa had even an iota of love for Punjab or was worried about the unity and integrity of India he should unmask the anti Punjab Congress conspiracy himself or be ready to face exposure soon.
