Bali Baghat holds public grievance redressal camp at Pochhal

With an aim to redress the grievances of the rural people at their doorsteps  Minister for Social welfare , Forests, Ecology  and Environment , Mr Bali Bhagat today held a public grievance redressal camp in Pochhal village of  District Kishtwar.Minister of State for R&B and Revenue, Mr Sunil Kumar Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Mr Ghulam Nabi Balwan; ADDC Kishtwar, XEn PWD Division Kishtwar and other District officers were also present.During the camp, the Minister was apprised about various grievances including the issue of construction of drain in one of the wards of Pochhal. On the intervention of Mr Bhagat the matter was resolved amicably and the villagers agreed to facilitate the construction of the drain. “It is an important drain for the village as it will not only prevent accumulation of water in the homes of the locals but will also averts many water born diseases”, Minister said. He further announced that adequate compensation will be given to those whose land will be acquired for the drain and the stalled work on the drain will be started by tomorrow.

During interaction with the Minster, people also demanded the release of pending payments of latrines constructed through Rural Development Department. In response to their demands, Mr  Bhagat asked BDO Kishtwar to release the pending payments without any delay. Minister also instructed for the relocation and fencing of the transformer in the village.Later, the Minister along with Mr Sunil kumar Sharma held a Diwali Milan with prominent citizens at Tourist reception centre Kishtwar .Mr Bali Bhagat said that government is working for the general masses and for the ground implementation of every developmental work both planning and execution components should be strengthened. He also informed that Kishtwar District is one among the Districts chosen for the implementation of ambitious Ladli Beti scheme which will be inaugurated on 15th November here.Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sunil Sharma highlighted the developmental performances of the Government in the Chenab valley and reiterated the resolve of the Government to improve public infrastructure including road network in every village of the State.
