Abdul Haq pays surprise visit to Bhalwal

Inspects ongoing development works; Reviews functioning of RSETI Bantalab

Minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq today paid surprise visit to block Bhalwal and inspected various ongoing development works there.During the visit, Khan visited Tawa Jawala, Baran and Seri Panditan areas of Bhalwal block and was apprised by the concerned officers of various works being executed by the department.The Minister during his tour to Tawa Jawala directed the officials to construct protection wall of the pond to conserve the precious water resource. He also directed the officials to utilize the land adjoining the pond for park so that the local public would be benefitted.While inspecting the newly constructed Panchayat Ghar at Baran, the Minister expressed satisfaction over the quality of work executed by the concerned agency and also directed for construction of boundary wall of the Panchayat Ghar. He also stressed the need for saving natural water bodies by the way of construction of protection walls.

While interacting with the locals, the Minister announced that the stretch of a link road at Jaskhaini would be upgraded. He on spot directed the concerned BDO to initiate the upgradation work on priority.Later the Minister visited Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) at Bantalab and was informed by the officers of various skill development courses being run by the institute for the unemployed youth of rural areas. In view of fair selection of the candidates for the courses, Khan directed the officials to advertise the training programmes at district level so that the real beneficiaries would be benefited.

The Minister assured that with the help of central government more job oriented courses would be introduced in RSETIs of the State.During his visit, the Minister also interacted with the local Sarpanch and Panchs and was apprised of various issues pertaining to the development of the area. After giving patient hearing to the issues, the Minister assured them for the early redress. He said the government is committed for the overall development of the state and rural areas on priority.Director Rural Development Jammu, M L Raina, ACD Jammu, Shaukat Malik, Executive Engineer RDD, Parvez Malik, BDO Bhalwal, Vipan Bhagat besides Sarpanch, Panchs and local public were also present on the occasion.
