DDC Anantnag reviews progress of development works

To review the sector vise progress of R&B and Health departments under District Plan 2015-16, a meeting under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Anantnag Mr. Muneer-ul-Islam was held at DC Office Complex here today.Stressing on the timely completion of the taken up works and projects, the District Development Commissioner directed the concerned engineers and officers to priorities works and ensure their completion before the onset of winter. He also said that to ensure accountability of contractors, committees under SDMs and Engineers have been formulated in their respective sub divisions and they will monitor the progress both during and after construction and will ensure that the works are as per  standard. Regarding the progress of various developmental works taken up by the R&B department in the district, the District Development Commissioner was informed that construction on Bringi Nallah, Ganoor Bridge has been completed and will be thrown open shortly. Also, the construction work on Utarsoo-Krad Bridge, Qazigund, Nasoo-Badragam Bridge, Khanabal-Poshwara Bridge and Salar-Bagwani Bridge is in progress.The DDC also reviewed the progress of various road projects taken up by the R&B department under district sector, state sector and NABARD.Regarding the progress of various developmental works in the health department, the DDC was informed that PHC Adlach has been completed and handed over to the health department. Similarly, Sub Centre Wantrag and PHC Salar have been completed and will be handed over to Health department soon. The meeting was attended by ADC, Joint Director Planning, SE R&B, CMO, Anantnag , EXENs of R&B department besides other officers of the district.
