Book 'From Rags To Ragas' On Hans Raj Hans' Life Released

A biography of famous Punjabi Sufi singer and Padma Shri winner Hans Raj Hans, “Rags to Ragas & Beyond...”, was released at his hometown Jalandhar, yesterday in the presence of Hans Raj Hans and his family. The book has been penned down by England-based radio jockey Preet Inder Dhillon.Famous Punjabi poet Dr Surjit Patar, Ustad Puran Shakoti (guru of Hans Raj Hans & father of Master Saleen), author Preet Inder Dhillon and film director Dr Harjit Singh were also present on the occasion.Reportedly, the biography does not only contain the journey of Hans Raj Hans as a singer, but his family life, his short journey as a politician has also been taken into account. The book contain never-been-revealed-before facts.Contrary to the reports, during the research work the author also visited Pakistan to seek the advice of famous Sufi singer Abida Parveen, who has a high regard for Hans and famous Ghazal maestro, Ghulam Ali.
