The Shiromani AKali Dal today asked Rahul Gandhi not to repeat the mistakes of his predecessors by trying to make political capital out of the sensitive issue of peace and communal harmony  in Punjab."We wonder why he didn't bring Jagdish Tytler and other friends of that class with him to complete the farce of his visit in a false specter of Public Display of Affection (PDA)  for the people of Punjab. It seems that the omission of Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar from Rahul's itinerary is merely an act of   oversight. Let him go back and plan better to ensure that the ugly show of crocodile tears looks even more sorry next time than it does now," said  the party's spokesperson and General Secretary Harcharan Singh Bains. In a statement here, Mr Bains  also asked the PPCC president Partap Singh Bajwa and senior Congress leader Captain Amaridner Singh to guide and accompany Rahul Gandhi to "dark and blood soaked lanes and streets of Tarlokpuri and other areas in Delhi where thousands of innocent orphans and widows still await his visit.

in fact, he should explain his helplessness in not having visited  these places, especially when his sister Priyanka Vadra had shown empathy in visiting the alleged killers of Rajiv Gandhi . "  Alleging the Congress party of being "habitually insensitive to the sentiments of the Sikh masses, Mr Bains said,   " What a pity that people who rolled tanks and mortars into the holiest of the holy shrines of the Sikhs, Sri Hanmandar Sahib, are now pretending to be concerned over sacrilege shown to our holiest scripture, forgetting that they were responsible for bleeding Sri Guru Granth Sahib during the attack . To the Congress, all symbols of Sikh religion, including Sri Harmandar Sahib, Sri Akal Takhat Sahib and now the holy Sri guru Granth Sahib, hold no significance and they have never hesistated from showing utter disrespect to them and even defamed these throughout the world.," Mr Bains said that it is travesty of justice that a person perceived   to be a killer went through the facade of visiting the victims. The last time  Rahul's respected father visited Punjab , he issued certificates, dubbing some leaders as  "religious personages" and later calling the same personages as  "terrorists".
