DDC reviews development scenario at Shopian

To review the development achieved in Shopian district, District Development Commissioner Shopian today conveyed a meeting of sectoral and district level officers here today.The meeting was informed that the Rs. 37 crore have been spent on construction of Mini Secretariat. Under the PHE sector two PHE schemes have been completed at the cost of Rs. 5 crore, under the MGNEGRA 1000 works were taken up in which 770 works have been completed at a cost of Rs. 10 crore.

Under the IAY scheme 500 houses have been constructed at the cost of Rs. 1.50 crore. Under R&B sector 80 kilometers have been macadamized in the district.

The DDC emphasized upon the officers for monitoring the development of projects and welfare schemes so that the benefits percolate to the gross root level. He instructed for adequate publicity of welfare schemes especially in rural and hilly areas for ensuring maximum benefits to the weaker sections of the society.Chief Planning Officer, ACR, and officer of the allied departments were also present in the meeting.
