DDC Baramulla takes stock of works under RMSA, SSA

District Development Commissioner Baramulla today directed the officers of Education department to formulate a plan and identify buildings that can be completed by convergence with MGNREGA. She passed strict instructions to the concerned that the plan so formulated should be submitted before the District Development Commissioner upto 6th November.Meanwhile, the District Development Commissioner took a comprehensive review of the completion of works under SSA and RMSA schemes.Chief Education Officer briefed the District Development Commissioner about the status of works being completed under the schemes. A full detail was presented by the Zonal Educational officers regarding the halted works of their respective zones that have been paused due to various reasons. It was given out that at various places the construction work has been halted due to non-availability of land.

The CEO also informed the meeting that 48 buildings are under upgradation, while 20 are under strengthening under RMSA in the district. The District Development Commissioner, while stressing for timely and immediate completion of works under RMSA and SSA schemes.The District Development Commissioner also directed the officers of Revenue Department to pursue land acquisition case wherever needed. Construction of playgrounds in schools was also taken up during the meeting.The DDC directed the concerned officers to formulate a strategic plan, so that a playground is made available at each and every school. Joint Director Planning, Chief Education Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Zonal Education Officers, concerned Engineers and other officers were present during the review meeting.
