Minsiter for Social Welfare, Forest, Ecology and Environment, Bali Bhagat today said that the Government is expending advanced sports edifice in the st    ate with focus on rural and remote pockets.This was stated by the Minister while chairing a function of wrestling competition organized by Baba Kalkh Nath Sports Club, near Baba Kalkh Nath temple, Thather. During the competition, the wrestlers from various states like Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir participated.On the occasion, Bali honoured first winner and runner up wrestlers Rubal from Khanna and Gurav from Ludhaina presenting cash award Rs.51,000 each while Banniya from JK Police defeated Krishna from Sonipat in Haryana in the second competition.

Speaking on the occasion, Bali praised the organizers for conducting such type of event which will help the state wrestlers to further improve the talent. These events also help in promoting friendly relationship among the people of different culture and traditions. He hoped that committee will continue such type of efforts to encourage the sports talent in the state.The Minister highlighted various reformative steps being taken up by the Government in making available all necessary sports facilities to the players of the state especially those living in rural and far off pockets. He said that the Government is also initiating various measures to promote rural conventional sports of the state.Bali said that the coalition government is implementing several innovative measures for massive development of sports infrastructure in the state with special emphasize on giving a big fill up to rural sports.
