Div Com reviews stock position for Ladakh

The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon today chaired a meeting of officials to review the supply and stock position of essentials to far flung areas of Leh and Kargil. The meeting was attended by officials of various departments, besides representative of different truck unions.The Divisional Commissioner directed the officials to ensure supply and stock position of essentials including food items, kerosene, cooking gas, firewood, medicines etc to the far flung areas which remain cut off during winters. He was informed that 11314 Mts of rice, 11340 Mts of flour, 400 Mts of sugar has been stocked in Ladakh, whileas 8115 Mts of rice, 4404 Mts of flour, 578 Mts of Sugar, 3310 Klts of kerosene has been stocked in Leh. Besides, 133654 gas cylinders have also been dispatched to these districts.The Divisional Commissioner stressed for coordination among various departments so that people are benefited.
