Javaid Mustafa Mir conducts extensive tour of Chadoora constituency

Assures time-bound execution of development works

Revenue Minister Javaid Mustafa Mir today visited Chadoora constituency wherein he assessed pace of various ongoing developmental works and also addressed the public grievance redress camp.During his extensive tour of constituency, the Minister visited Nowgam, Lasjan, Sumerbug and other adjoining areas where he inspected various ongoing works.The Minister was accompanied by Mir Altaf Deputy Commissioner Budgam, ADC Srinagar, officers of J&K ERA, Srinagar Development Authority and officers of the District Administration.Javaid started his visit from Sumerbug, wherein he visited SDA colon. During the inspection he saw the graveyard in waterlogged situation. Taking strong note of this problem the Minister directed concern authority to prepare a comprehensive DPR to raise the height of area by filling it and also to include construction of drain, so that menace of water logging would be solved forever. He also stressed upon authorities to carry out remaining macadamization/black topping of the roads in the colony on fast-track.

While visiting Nowgam area during the tour, the Minister found uncovered holes of the main drain constructed by ERA under the road, which is vulnerable for any unprecedented accidents. He on the spot directed officers of the ERA to cover these manholes within one week.

At Chhatergam many deputations met the minister and apprised him about the requirement of the drain along the main road. The Minister directed ERA authorities to immediately visit the area and submit the detail feasibility report for construction of drain.The inhabitants apprised the Minister about the problems being faced by them. While interacting with the people Javaid assured them that the problems being faced by them would be taken up with the concerned authorities and redressed within the shortest possible time.While responding to the grievances about electricity, the Minister stated that “yesterday I took review of power sector of the Chadoora constituency  with the Commissioner Secretary  PDD and Chief Engineer PDD and put every problems there” adding department assured me speedy solution of every problem.
